Default How do I turn on SLI

I'm trying to find out where about in the Nvidia control panel is the function to turn on SLI? I have the current version and drives for my 8600GT, but no ware can I find a way to enable SLI. Any help would be great!

    Thanks.

BTW: Running Vista 64 bit OS.

Open nVidia control panel . Expand 3d settings by clicking on the "+" beside it. Click on "set SLI configuration".

When I do that, I only have

    Adjust image setttings with preview
    Manage 3D settings.

None of these settings have anything to do with SLI. That' what I don't understand, why don't I see the setting to adjust SLI. Weird.

That is strange. Silly question but your specs only list a single GPU: You do have two matching video cards?

Yeah, I have two XFX 8600GT's, but I think the I found out the issue, I'm pretty sure my second video card is bad. I installed it alone, and I got no screen. I"m going to get a nether one and then try it again.

Well, I just found out that my MB does not support SLI using Vista! That really sucks! Anyway I know have a second XFX8600GT, the only good thing is I can upgrad my wifes Emachine with it. I guess she will be happy, now she can play her Sims games on her computer. This goes to show you what happens when you don't read all the fine print, or in my stupid A#$ case, the print in bright red writing.

Oh well, I guess on a second good side, I can now talk my wife into letting me upgrade my card to a 8800GTX.

get 2 crossfire cards 3850 etc..

because they will be cheaper than an 8800gtx and the 2 out perform a gtx dont they (together)
i read sum where that 2 cards sli = 50% increase (performance)
    2 cards xfire = 78% increase (performance)

and it would be good for dual monitors

ummm .... samtomjohn1 that is a really interesting idea that doesn't help in this situation for a couple of reasons: Technogeek already has the two 8800GTX cards.
The motherboard Technogeek is using only supports SLI not crossfire and then only under Windows XP not Vista unfortunatly.

Yep, it looks like I'm stuck with using 1 Video card until either MSI or Nvidia comes out with drivers to fix the little Vista issue. I'm pretty sure they will in time, just becuase to many people will want to use SLI running Vista. I've contacted MSI about it. If I don't hear back from them in a couple weeks, I will give them a call. Thanks for all the help everyone.
