    Default Upgrading My Computer

    O.K., so right now I have

    Processor:: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20GHz (2 CPUs)

    Ram:: 1GB

    Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800

    Obviously, a rather low end system. It has very low frame rates on Supreme Commander:Forged Alliance, a very demanding game, even on the lowest settings. I was thinking of upgrading, but I have a tight budget, about $150, maybe 200 at most. I was thinking of getting a GeForce 8600 GT, and upgrading to 2 GBs of ram. What do you think? Would I get a significantly higher preformance? I was also wondering if my CPU was a bottleneck. If I'm forced to get a new processor, than I don't think I'll be able to upgrade, those are expensive. What do you think?

    u mite as well trash this system and build a new one...its no longer viable to upgrade a >4 year old computer.
    I think 3.2ghz P4 is as good as it gets on a socket 478 motherboard.

    remember sup comm is a very cpu limited game thats prob y ur getting crap performance
