Default Help with video card decision

I am currently running an 8600GTS and am wondering which is worth my while. I can pick up another 8600GTS for $50 and run them together or scrap it and grab an 8800GT or 9600GTX.

The 8600GTS is much cheaper but am I really screwing myself over in the long run?

    Please compare and advise.

save up more money and buy a 9800GT, 9800GT is a new version of the 8800GT, albeit no spec changes.

an 9800GT should set u back at ~100$ - $10-20 rebates if possible

dont get the standard 9800! the best mid range cards out these days are the GeForce 9800GTX+ and the Radeon HD4850, but with the recent price drop of the GTX260, it almost falls into the mid-range price bracket with just great performance, but id still say in terms of value for money the 9800GTX+ and the HD4850 are right on par... then it just comes down to whether you like ATI of Nvidia

although i was recently lucky enough to get to test drive a Gigabyte HD4850 1GB with a Zalman cooler and factory overclocking and it was just great... i got it up to 830/2415MHz... and it retails for only US$200... i have to say that would probably be my choice if i were to buy a mid range card now

whatever you do tho, dont buy another 8600GT! lol
