Default Trade in 2x gtx280's for one gtx 295 coop?

Hey guys... well my title basically says it all. ive been offered basically the same money to sell my gtx 280s as someone else will sell me a new 295 coop edition. (Note... i got the 280's buy one get one free so im selling them for 400 bucks, the same price that the 295 costs). so thats it..
i could buy another 295 coop in the future
i could watercool the single coop
i could keep the two 280s and watercool them.

any input here would be great!! thanks so much in advance.
    cheers
    jay

lol maybe no one thinks it's practical or doesn't know what to say. 2 280s wouldn't that be about the same or slightly better performance? Maybe some say/think wait for the 300 series from team green instead of getting a 295 now just to get a new one in 2-3 months.

I can't see game performance being all that different either way to matter so the only benefit of the 295 is less space occupied in your case and possibly less noise/heat if those are important to you, some noise really doesn't matter so you can't call that a benefit.

    heya thanks for the reply...
someone else on another site made a great point. why trade one power hungry card for another and with no gain in perfornace? and both being directx 10?? he suggested UPGRADING to a directx11 card which makes so much sense. so im looking at converting to ATI and getting the 5970. all this has really made me question EVGA. ATI seems more creative and have more revolutionnary ideas in terms of the technology and with the 5970 its really blowing the gtx295 out of the water in all benchmarks.
    watdoyall think bout this?

Yeah.... I'd say go for either the 5970 if you want that type of performance or have a 30 inch monitor lol and play at 2560x1600 or you can wait to see what Nvidia offers in well whenever lol maybe 2-3 months in the dx11 flavor.

Although unless you run 7 then you won't get dx11 so it won't matter so if you have 7 or plan to upgrade then go for it unless MS plans to offer dx11 on Vista if they can, not sure what the difference on all that is.

    **EDIT**

You could also think of 2 5850's, about the same price but in some cases it outruns the 5970. Unless that would generate more heat, but Crossfire is Crossfire essentially. Oops, must have missed that in your sig you are running 7 so... lol.
