    Default Recording TV programs

I need some help. I currently have digital antanna on my tv in my house and would like a recording device so that I can set it to record shows that I can view at a later time (similar to tivo and sky or setting up a VCR). There is one other condition though I do not have a land line telephone or internet all i have is a cell phone (if it matters it is a smart phone and does have internet on it). Please let me know what my options are. Any help would be appreciated. I am hoping for something that doesn't require a subscription but I am also willing to subscribe to something.

you need a dvd recorder with a built in hard drive,it will record you programs to the hard drive and you can watch later or burn to dvd,or buy a tv card for your pc but you would need an internet connection if you use windows media centre for it to download the daily tv listings, but you would be able to set it to record your programs or series just the same to the pc's hard drive

what do you have in the states? here we have freeview which is free to air digital tv,that you can watch free with a decoder box, most tv's and dvd recorders have them built in,and pc tv cards will decode them, you just plug in your normal tv antenna and it will pick them up according to your signal strength in your area

We have Digital antanna it is free and you just plug your antanna in and depending on the signal strenth you get the local channels. It sounds just like yours. The only thing is that the channels are not just 2,3,4,5 ect they come in as 2-01, 2-02, 4-01, 4-02 and so on so channel 4 has 2 almost subchannels so I wanted to make sure that dvd recorders can support telling it to record 4-02. Do you know if it can?
