    Beta test musicmatch jukebox 8.0

I got an email to test it, but no success in installing after downloading it.

I'm just wondering if any of you have tried to download this?
I've tried on several occasions to install it after downloading it and come up with; "error could not download from DML channel."
Anyone have any ideas about what the problem could be

From a rough guess, it's trying to use the download manager to download the beta.

On the actual download page, click on the second link listed, the one that says 'directly download the installation files'. Chances are, that should work better.

I tried that one Beefy, still the same problem. Thx anyway.

Do you know how hard it is to try and send an email to these guys when you haven't got their program already installed?

what is the file size of the download you did?
what i feel is that is is trying to download the install file after u start the install from a small file acting as a gateway but your firewall is not allowing it to do so. if it is a small file, size below 1MB then most probably thats the reason.
its just a guess but few things are using this new way just to make u come back again and again to the site for install. yahoo messenger 5.5 comes to mind.

i tried the link you attached but currently it says that do not download beta if you have a plus version so didn't try to download it and making a wild guess.

The file size is only 653.59kb.

    Ummmm........I don't have a firewall.

I currently don't have Musicmatch installed either, makes it very difficult to contact these guys. :scream:

The file I downloaded was 11MB. Worst comes to worst, I can host it on my webserver temporarily while you download it, but the link I suggested above should have worked.

That's really strange as I've d/l them from both links 3x and still end up with the same sized files and the same problem. I'll delete the files and try them again........

    Thanx Beefy.

Music Match with a file size of 653Kb, doesn't sound complete file to me.

No no no, that's the little download manager they use. It's like the install for IE6. You download a 436k file, which then installs over the net.

If ya want me to host it for ya WS, just give me a yell either here or on MSN.

Thanx Beefy, but for the time it took me to d/l the 3mb so far (2 hours), I don't think you wanna wait that long for me. It seems to keep dropping out of that particular connection. Fingers XXX I do better with it tonight.
