Some computers stores can be funny, let me give you a couple examples.

#1 - When I started working for VIA Technologies we went to buy a couple motherboards and the salesmans tried to start telling us about our own chipsets, untill we said we worked for VIA.

#2 - This is even better. A salesmans in a computer stores starts telling you about a product, you ask how well it overclocks, they say "overclocking doesn't increase performance", you say "Overclocking is what I do for a job...".

The intel pimps usually like to act like overclocking is the devil.

My best experience with Hardly Normal was back in early 1996 when we got our first "decent" computer (A Pentium 100 with a whopping 16MB of RAM!!!). Went to their "New Year Super Software Sale" and picked up some cheap games (after all I was a n00b then).

Stuck the CDs into the computer when we got home, and Norton Anti-Virus (Version 2 mind you - very modern!) came up with them infected with the Junkie virus. Took the CDs back and they wouldn't give a refund. Their reason was "We know they're infected - the manager told us to sell them anyway".

So I never buy from them now
