I took a trip to the local Harvey Norman today and boy was I suprised. They're prices are actually close to normal!

Gone are the days of the $3000 Celeron systems with 64MB of ****ty SDRAM, now they are selling at actual competative prices.

There was still some gripes though, they are still selling CD burners for $400 and trying to manipulate dumb customers. "Oh sure, I bet if you asked your kids they would love to get a CD burner". and "8MB video memory should run all the latest games".

I even asked a clerk what type of RAM a P4 system on display had in it (I was half expecting PC-100 SDRAM) but he suprised me by saying "PC2100 DDR RAM".

Its like they have finally caught wind of what consumers want for their money.

What next? Hel$tra charging affordable prices for boradband??

Next time ask him why it's called "PC2100".

Nah, I didn't want to humiliate him lol.

Although I almost butted in when he was trying to sell a computer to an uneducated customer but I restrained myself. :p

It would have been funny to see you comment on what he was saying to the customer, you might have done him out of a job

    TIP:
Don't but in and comment on what the person is saying, and proove them wrong, they tend to get quite grumpy and kick you out of the store!
