    http://www.workcover.nsw.gov.au/Subs...iew.asp?Id=531

    The bottom link on the page called assesment instrument for forklift trucks.

    I need to view this document, but after it downloads it just gives me that annoying square with the coloured shapes in it that is supposed to be the document.

    Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    I'm using Adobe Acrobat 5.0, and it looks fine.
    You can DL 5.0.5 (yeah, they upgraded a bit since my version) at http://www.adobe.com it's a free download, when you install, if there is an option to integrate it with Internet Explorer go for it, it will be handy when someone gives a link. (can't remember if that's the default install behaviour or not:?: )

    I guess you might be using an older version that isn't displaying properly?

    Afterthought;
    If this is a document you need to refer to again, be sure to right click the link for it and choose "Save As" that way you can put the entire PDF right on your computer, and look at it anytime you choose without having to go through the whole process of downloading again.

    You probably knew that, but I just wanted to be sure:thumb:

    I didn't have Abode silly me. I've been trying to read this the last couple of days and couldn't figure out why for the life of me.

    Thanks Kay, but I got it now.

    Glad you got that worked out WS.
    Every PC user is eventually going to need Adobe Acrobat at some point. There is a wide variety of "printed" material that uses it.
    I like to keep PDF's of my hardware manuals on my HDD for easy access.

    Some of the P2P file sharing apps have a wide variety of PDF files for DL too -- everything from novels to technical/educational material.
