    Moving Grim's beefy 17" flatscreen monitor. Didn't see my box on chair. Knocked off chair, onto ground. Bad. Pain.

    CPU = Officially pronounced dead :cry:
    HDD = Should pull through :).

    onto ground? how did that damage the cpu? and if it hurt the cpu, how did the MB pull through?

    did ya try the little shock paddle things? they work on TV.. (ok, i'll shut up now)

    Even though the HSF was firmly attached, it came off and smashed against CPU :(.

    Shock paddles! Good idea!

    hmm.. heatsink coming off and damaging CPU.. sounds familiar.. bad luck dude.
