PARIS, Arkansas (Wireless Flash) -- Chew on this: Snail burgers will soon be crawling into American restaurants and homes if a man in Paris, Arkansas, has his way.
Richard Davis is currently importing a French brand of snail patties called "L'Escargot" in hopes of getting American gourmets to shell out $12 for a four-pack.

The thought of eating snail burgers may gross you out, but Davis says folks who munched the slug patties without knowing what they were compared them to mushroom burgers and awarded high marks.

Still, Davis admits convincing Americans to replace Big Macs with snail burgers won't be easy and plans to go at a snail's pace by introducing them to restaurant chefs first and slowly moving them into grocery stores.

    :?:
Does France's Ministry Of Culture really allow snail-patties?
Could be that this is an "only for export" product?

Sounds more like French Foreign Legion field rations to me:laugh:
