Summer of 2001 Southern California ran out of electricity. We had planned rotating outages because the states power supply was exhausted..

It was not a lot of fun.

Well, no. Just cause the natural dynamic in physics we all call electricity is unlimited, will never cease to exist, and happens everywhere, doesnt mean we have unlimited access to it. Like i said, its like water, just cause we got a whole lot of it on the planet doesnt mean you leave the faucet running while your gone. The systems we implement to deliver the resources to us are the middle problem. Part of that problem (and the solution; weird) being that these resources are "sold" and not freely given. But even if you have an unlimited cash supply to buy unlimited electricity/water there is still only so many power plants "producing" (or being middleman to nature's ongoing process) electricity, thus making the system the limiting factor.

    and yes Mr. C...

    [EDIT]
The "brownouts" as Grey Davis liked to call it were because of our "immense population of office machines" which is a big load of BS for "i cant negotiate with the power companies well, so they are limiting the supply, knowing that ill get blamed, cause they want more cash, because they got screwed 10years ago with deregulation" - which has alot to do with why i didnt vote for Grey Davis. But i say, never again in SoCal!
