nice car, i'd get 1 of those but then.....the car alone costs like $30k(a good 1 on japan), + cost of shipping and then get it passed through US customs and registration would be another $10k i guess.

so i took a smaller version of nissan's RWD(a nissain 240sx), and am gonna put either the rb25det or rb26dett(both are skyline engines) on my 240. a nice way of makin it a skyline look alike.(i know its better to actually have the skyline, but $$ is the problem here, could get the skyline engine for like $3k)

    still......nice car:).

    Yeah, thanks mate.
I know of a few people who have done the conversion in the States.
    Turned out pretty well.
It's done quite a bit here in Australia and Japan to S13 Silvias and 180sxs
I picked it up for AU$22,000 and since have added a few bits and pieces.
Looking at a A'pex Power FC next and getting a HKS GT2835ProS for my 21st hopefully :)

Ya never built a kit car have ya? I helped a friend build one. Registering it was a NIGHTMARE. Worst part was he lost the MSO (manufacturers statement of origin) for the chassis and didnt have all the receipts for the tranny and rearend. Something that should had been an hour at the DMV (along with the inspection) ended up taking 3 weeks.

I met a guy in Chicago who has a Skyline R34. He imported it from Japan himself and has a shop do the US conversion. All together he spent near $100K. All that and he still has a top end of 118mph but gets there in a serious hurry.
