    1. true the are assembled here, by NON-UNION workers that make less and have less benefits than their UAW counterparts. also, the average auto worker in the US makes less per hour than do japanese workers, so we are essentially cheap labor for them, as mexico is for us.

    2. It costs less for them to make a car here than in japan as they dont have to ship raw steel/iron to japan, make a car out of it and ship it back.

    3. since the cars are made here, they dont pay import taxes, again saving them money.

    4. the income taxes japanese companies pay goes (guess where)
thats right, japan, as their corporations are based there, so the US only sees money from sales tax on the car when it is sold.

the japanese are using us, take an economics class, its plain and simple. true ford cars are assembled here and all that, but thats as American as i can buy.

Same happens with the U.S. - every year billions of $$$ go offshore from Australia to the U.S. in the same fashion - and they are still taking over our Australian companies in a hostile manner

lemme break it down. ford is losing feild in the car industry not because of poor advertising or a national emergency. ford is losing ground for one plain simple stares you in the face fact. FORD CARS ARE INFERIOR. gee they breakdown more get less gas mileage and cost more. why would i buy a 30,000 doller hunk of crap that wasnt even made in america. i would rather buy a quality product that is actually made in america. and youre wrong about honda being a japanese company. does HONDA OF AMERICA mean anything to you.ITS A COMPLETELY DIFFERNT COMPANY. just face it ford is losing because ford sux. the beauty of america is that if your product sux you go out of bussiness. so keep supporting mexican workers and buying big gas guzzling fords. thanx but ill keep my honda. i project ford wont last another 10 years(without drastic restructuring). as long as ford trys to keep cost down instead of spending to make a quality product theyll never last. by the way heres a list of the problems with my sisters 95 mercury(ford) mystique.
1 recall on entire wiring harness(we were already replacing it cause it was broke)
2 gee the wiring harness broke again
3timing belt breaks at 35,000 miles(complete valve job)
    4wow another wiring harness
5 serious tranny and ecu problems(car is down for about 2 months)
6 lastly but not least the timing belt breaks again( the cars is still down after a month having a valve job)
    GOTTA LOVE THAT FORD QUALITY

....you are talking like America is going broke or somthing, America spends most of it's money on bombing and pissing off other countrys, and you can't tell me that Ford make better cars than say, Toyota or Honda, they just can't do it, and If I was going to buy a Ford I would buy an Aussie ford,

did you skip my post above entirely? here it is again in case you cant read:

Ford's market is big trucks. plain and simple. nobody can touch a full-size F350 turbo-diesel truck. they 0wn. cars, (even the Mustang to some extent) are there just to round out the company, they arent the bread and butter of the company. why focus on making a highly advanced escort that sells for 22k, topped out, or a truck that brings in 45k easy for a nice one?? the math speaks for itself, considering Ford has had the best selling series of trucks (the F-Series) since like 1980. that says something right there. what can i say, i love Ford, but I would support Chevy and *ugh* Dodge too over a damn rice burner. (Even tho the skyline, supra and RX-7 0wn me )
as far as your car, so what? so you got one that has wiring harness problems. for a car (besides a Mustang) i would buy a Volkswagen. For a truck, its all about Ford. Or you could get a honda/toyota/mitsubishi/nissan, oh wait a second, they only make compact trucks. hahaha. even the toyota tundra thats supposed to be a "full size truck" is about as big as a freakin ranger or s10. thats pathetic. all honda makes is cars, (and lawnmowers, which is where they get their engines from). so if they couldnt do that right, thats pretty pathetic. and as far as the honda of america, thats plain ****ing bull****, they are the same company. you think they would allow another company to do business with the honda name making the same exact cars?? oh thats right, they wouldn't, and they dont, as the two are the same company. take an economics class genius, might make you think twice about where your hard earned mcdonald's paycheck goes.
