Hey. I'm lookin to buy a fan control unit, I have a question though.

It says this device can support 2 fans per channel (It has 2x3 pin power connectors), and that it supplys 20W per channel.

Rather then just connect 2 fans, could you split each of the power connectors using a cable and run 4 fans off the one channel? (as apposed to the default 2 only)

    I mean, would 20W power 4 fans?

Ya'd likely sag the PSU doin' that which would impact on system stability. The thing as is can support 6 fans plus 2 CC's so why would ya need more fans (or do ya want to burn it or the PSU out)?

No, there are 3 channels, 2 fans per channel.

I want to dedicate on chan to my CPU fan so I can alter that as I need to without effecting other fans. Another chan to my Exhaust (2 fans) and the last chan to my Intake (which is 3 fans counting the side fan)

So, If I put one fan on the same chan as the CPU, I will have to have the side fan going at the same speed as the CPU Fan, and I'd rather have all the intakes going at one speed, and all the exhausts going at another speed, With the CPU independent.

Thats why I'd have 3 fans on the one channel, and only 1 fan on another.
