    Binxer, it is okay to cut holes for fans in your windows, however you must use extreme caution not to apply to much pressure (or it will crack) and to make sure that whatever you are cutting with is on low speed, so as not to melt the actual window.

    Either a hole saw or jigsaw on very low speed. ;)

    What kind of blade for the hole saw. I've used a dremel for aquarium dividers but you don't end up with a an esthetically pleasing result. It does work however to keep very aggressive fish separated.

    but, for the jigsaw question,
    go out and buy a special blade to cut metal..
    thats what i did :)

    Metal blades have many teeth per inch (like 32). Sould be marked on the blade.

    Use no less than a 32pt metal cutting saw blade (that means that 24pt ones are out). :thumb:

    Wiggo, are there any particular brands that you use that last longer than others. Blades seem to dull fairly quickly for me.

    They only do that if the speed is to fast or your forcing it to cut faster than it should. ;)
