Just a note to everyone: cold cathodes do not have much give to them and the cathode is very fragile. I just broke mine yesterday when not being careful. These things snap easy, so keep 'em straight.

Now I'm gonna just rig up some lights with a switch...time to hit the auto shops tomorrow and get some neon's or something.

The outer plastic has more give than the tube itself, but don't push your luck by not putting it on a flat surface or anything that'd compromise the tube not being on a flat surface.
