Thread: 12V+ drop to 11.5V+ on BD7-RAID

My 12V+ line has consistently run low on the BD7-RAID motherboard.... tried two different 400W's & a 500W, but it just sits around 11.5V.

Any ideas??? or has anyone else found the same problem???

I think that line is regulated on the board, so changing the PSU won't work. Is it giving you any trouble?

No....none of the PSU's have given any bother at all..... just all read at 11.5 or thereabouts.

It is possible that the probe on the motherboard is a little off. As long as you're not having troubles, then you should be fine. It's not really enough of a voltage drop to be concerned with.

Thanks man.... I wasn't sure how far down the voltage could go before I would actually be having problems, even if I couldn't see them.

Is this something common to BD7-RAID boards, or just mine??

It's common on alot of boards, not just yours.

    Thanks

I guess I'll stop being concerned then and go back to the quieter 400Wpsu.... maybe even a 350W??
