    I havent overclock my system, but the CPU temperature is at 50C is it normal or too hot for my CPU?

    Pentium 4 2.66 MHz FSB 533MHz
    Kingmax PC3200 400Mhz 512 DDR Gold PCB
    Sapphire Radeon 9700 Atlantis pro 128 MB
    Gigabyte GA-8INXP Intel E7205 chipset with Dual Bios
    Seagate SERIAL SATA Barracuda 7200.7 120Gb Hard Disk
    Vantec VP4-C7040 P4 Aeroflow Cooler P4 3.06Ghz+
    Sony CRX220A1 52x24x52 CR-R/RW
    Samsumg 16x DVD read and 52x CD-Rom
    Panasonic 3.5 Floppy Disk Drive
    Antec True-Blue 480 Watts Power Supply
    Antec PlusView 1000AMG without PSU case
    2 80mm Akasa Fan Nebula with 4 Colour Blade illumination
    2 80mm Antec Smart case fan
    AverMedia TV tuner
    etc... etc...

    it should be cool enough, but why my CPU is at 50C.

    Ya well within ya specs as throttlin' doesn't start till ya in the mid 70C's.

    Intel CPU's self protect themselves and if heat starts to become a problem they turn their speed down (throttling) and if that doesn't help then they shut themselves down.

    really? cooooooooool! i didn't know that! so if it gets hotter, they slow down and if they can't manage, they shut down their selves thats heavy!

    What about me, AMD XP 2400+, usually between 55-57*C with the side off.
    Just arrived Feb. 6, 2003!

    With AMD's it must be setup in ya BIOS (mine are set to shutdown at 65C) but your main probs would be the retail HSF used and poor case airflow.
