I had been reading some reviews on the EPoX EP-8RGA+ and they all said the Northbridge/IGP tended to be hot, so today i had some spare time, and whipped up a homemade cooler for mine, which i just bought. I just used an old socket 7 heatsink, some cardboard, hot glue, AMD fan, and wrapped it all in electric tape for looks Its sorta big, But i designed it with a duct-like design, so thres no dead-zone where the air wont flow over the heatsink. Its very light, under 0.5lbs. Heres a few pics of it!

EDIT: I just finished lapping the heatsink, Came out perfectly!

With the incorperated GPU the northbridge does run extra warm but a Cyrstal Orb should be suffient to do the job.

I think that I've told ya b4 that because of the intergrated video ya memory will also have to supply that as well as ya system so ya'll loose bandwidth m8 which is why I've told ya to use the 8RDA+ and a dedicated video card. ;)

EDIT: but do ya think itll be sufficient to cool the IGP beter? And under a higher FSB?

The southbridge gets really hot too, even with the heatsink! I just built a system, and with normal cooling fans in a new antec case, MOH:AA freezes after 4 minutes of play. Taking the side off and directing an 80 mm fan towards both northbridge and southbridge solves this problem, but normal airflow in a 70 degree F room doesn't keep the game from freezing! Shame on epox, but I think this is probably a common problem.

The 8RGA+ is not properly cooled for anyone wanting to play any 3d game.

Well, I've looked, its alot trickier to mod. It is glued to the southbridge, and it doesn't have any sort of mechanical clips holding it to the mobo. AND the biggest problem is that if you make it much bigger you will interfere with 3 PCI slots, and possibly the AGP slot.
