I haven't looked much into the air cooling scene for a while now and would like to know how the various coolers these days stack up.

Are they much improved over my GW FOP-38 w/7k delta?

I'm hoping to upgrade soon and I've seen that the Thermalright SLK 900U has been getting alot of attention. Is a delta still needed to get the performance to overclock segnificantly? Or can the same be done now with a less hearing damaging fan?

Usualy I'd go right to the benchmarks but I can't seem to find any updated ones, cooler roundups seem to be a thing of the past.

I can't show ya figures but a GW FOP-38 with 7k Delta would be about the same as a Volcano 7+ on low speed and ya would'nt need the ear plugs.

It wouldn't be much better than the retail HSF of a 2600+ with the same fan. Have looked into the hearin' aids on offer these days?

Delta's are only bein' used by those that are already deaf m8 though those that use Thermaltake SF II's (and similar fans) @ full speed will soon be. ;)
