Just got a really simple and quick question I wanna ask when it comes to applying TIM to a P4 chip there is a hole in the corner of the heat spreader, is it alright for TIM to get in there?

    Thanks :hammer:

The hole is there so that the heat spreader when fitted to the CPU allows air to escape so that it sits properly. I wouldn't try fillin' the hole with heat grease but applied normally very little would get in anyway (if at all) and has never been detrimental to any P4 that I've built.

While im not sure how true it is, i am told it is so the P4 can adjust to pressure changes (i.e., no over-pressurized inside). I am more than likely wrong though.
