I want you guys to stop. Right now.

If I learn about water cooling, that leads to designing a system. Designing a system leads to buying parts....buying parts leads to pissed-off girlfriend. Get my drift?

OK, OK, I'll just stop reading the posts.....but I keep getting these horribly enticing emails....:thumb:

I see you are not going to use a duct for your radiator? Don't you remember the golden rule from the caveman and his watercooled iMac?; Me duct, duct good:p

I don't have a duct, but the fan is screwed straight to the radiator, with bluetac to seal up the holes :)

which causes extra noise and loss of airflow aka cooling. But who cares if the system runs at 36 or 35 degrees.:)

yeah when i get mine im going to make a duct for it. still dont know how i'd like it though, i would want the radiator screwed to the top of the case or have it towards the middle/back on the bottom and on both having the fan in the front.

I got the pump this morning but had to go to school, so when I got back I almost straight away took it out and started fitting it adn trying to figure out how I was gonna connect it all. But in all the excitement, I forgot to take picies fo the naked pump. I will however have pics of it almost all hooked up :)

Are naked pumps allowed on these boards? :p My pc does strange things when it sees electronics etc. without proper housing

OK, I'm gonna ask the newbish questions....
Having never set up a watercooling system....what's the diff between an inline and reservoir system? Is it just like a closed or open hydraulic system? ( I've dealt with both on mountain bike braking systems ) So what's the advantage of an inline system, other than not having to buy/make room for a reservoir? I can see how things like larger lines will increase flow, but wouldn't an inline system cut down on the amount of coolant? My mind has been spinning as the system you're putting together, Andy, would fit into one of my compact cases pretty nicely, as would the system GBRICCI described....
What kind of gains in cooling could I expect? Are you planning to cool anything other than the CPU, and if one wanted to do that, how would you place the cooling blocks in order? : peace2:
