Can anyone tell me where I could buy a quite 50mm fan for my P-III 750MHz? Or is there any other type of quiet heatsink/fan I could buy that would fit it?

    Thanks

a quiet 50 mm fan is going to be hard to find. assuming your pIII is a socket and not a slot, finding a replacement hsf shouldn't be a problem. Just look for HSFs designed for the AMD athlon and it will fit your socket. If quiet is your goal, I'd recomend the thermaltake silent boost; it's very quite and is overkill for you when it comes to cooling capacity.

All HSFs nowadays are 80mm with a few exceptions. You won't find one that is only 50mm though. That sounds like a slot processor to me, and the only one I could think of would be the OEM one.

No it's a FC-PGA P-III 750. Although it's good to know that Athlon HSFs are compatible with my P-III.

    Thanks for the help.
