    Default Cooling Suggestions for A64

    A64 3200+ w/ Clawhammer Core
    Asus K8V SE
    Seagate 7200 RPM SATA
    Ti4200 8x 128mg BFG

    Running at 34 c Idle and 41 c Load
    Stock Alluminum Heatsink

    Any suggestions on another air cooled sink?-

    There's nothing wrong with those temps if correct.

    Those temperatures are fine, but you could use some Arctic Silver 5 on the CPU to get the temps even lower.

    Yeah might try that if I can find some localy, tiger direct seems to have a lack of stock in the cooling dept.

    EEK!!!
    Tiger Direct charges way too much for their products. Try Newegg.com and you'll do much better for yourself. And they DON'T have a shortage in the cooling department.

    Thermalright makes some of the greatest heatsinks the 120 and sp-97 are my recommendations. Couple of other things get duct from HSF to the exhaust helps more than most people know. With the two heatsinks I recommend you can use bigger fans like 120 or 92. Bigger means more air flow with quieter operation. Last note you can not get to much cooler than you are already at, the recommendations that are made by others and I will help. I can not see watercooling dropping your temps enough to justify the price of it nor make noticeable performance difference
