Default D.P.S. Making large amount of heat

I am having a problem with system cooling, my cpu runs @ 30 C when idle but when i start playing games and the system starts heating up, the CPU temp goes way to high(50-55 C). I know it is the case because when it is open the CPU runs at about 40 C. I am buying 4 more fans to make a total of 7. 2 on the back, 1 on the side, 4 in front. The heat is coming from the Dual Power Module... If I take it out, will my motherboard run without it?

These cases need to have the fanholes cut out to get any airflow. What is this dual power module?

The Dual Power Module comes with some Gigabyte Motherboards, What it says on the package is "Designed especialy for the Athlon 64 platform, the Dual Power System delivers a total 6-phase power circuit to provide a more solid and durable power supply for the new generation AMD platform." To my understanding it is a back up power circuit for the procesor, the module is a removable daughter card, but I am not sure if I can take it out and still have a working computer. The link to the mother board is in my signature.

Hmmm. Aren't those temps normal though? I thought I read that all AMD 64s get up to 55 degrees when working at near 100% levels. I think the Prescott gets up to like 67 degrees....

I am not to worried about the temps the processor is making, it is the Dual Power thing that is making all the heat, but now I run at 25-27 degrees at idle because of the ide ribbin cable folding. And now the max it gets to is 47, but it would still be nice to know if I could remove it without any harm to the motherboard and/or CPU.

I.E. will an Athlon 64 run on 3 phase power?

If you don't mind modifying your case a little bit, I would advise making a blowhole in the top using a 120mm fan to extract the hot air from the case. Making a cpu fan duct to bring in cool air from outside the case would also work and a combination of the 2 would probably bring you some nice temps.

You should come and see my computer tomorrow that way you can see what needs to be done a little more clearly

Yea. On the D.P.S. thing, I don't know if it will run without it or not.
