    Question megahalems fan clips

    hey all,

i've got a megahalems sitting on a UD7 but the clips provided prevent the installation of a pushing fan without obstructing the my Dominator ram.

does anyone know of some clips that fit on this sink that i could use instead of the standard ones?

i've got a pair of Akasa AK-FN057 Apache 120mmx25mm Fans that are being help with pull-ties.

    thanks for any info.

Zip Ties wont work? You could dremmel part of your fan housing down, have you thought about that?

the problem isn't the fan.. its the metal clip itself.. the noctua ones for example are shorter and clip the fan on the insite eyeley of a fan, whereas the prolimatech ones go around front and poke out a long way,

Can't you just use a zip tie instead of the clip then? Or a rubber band possibly? How about making something out of a paper clip or two one for each side of the fan?

yeah i guess.. probably zip-ties will be the best solution.. just wonder why they just don't provide shorter clips considering that this will probably be a problem on most X58 boards

Not sure, maybe you could email their support? They may have a new clip in the works they would be willing to send you, worth a shot anyway.

dropped prolimatech support a mail who really quickly responded and said that they have a new redesigned clip that they'll send to me.... for free!... these guys are awesome.

just have to wait and see if the new clips fix the problem.
