Even good companies sometimes have some products that are not that good. You should read independent reviews for each component. Once you have narrowed down your list, people who are experienced with water cooling can give you detailed recommendations. This procedure is similar to selecting the right parts when you are building a new computer system.

You need to decide what size tubing you want. Then the fittings you buy have to match the tubing size, with some exceptions for barbed fittings.
If you use compression type fittings then the tube size has to match absolutely with the fittings.

For example, you might use 7/16" ID_ 5/8" OD tubing. When using compression type fittings in this case you would HAVE to use fittings that match the tubing.

Now, the actual port size on most pc water cooling fittings is G 1/4. That would be the end of the fitting that screws into a water block or radiator.
The opposite side of the fitting could be either G 1/4, or it could be a barbed fitting or compression fitting that matches the tubing size.

Tubing size is often a matter of personal preference. Some people like the look of 3/4" OD tubing, some like skinnier tubing, some people have preferences based on how flexible the tubing is. This is something you have to decide for yourself. Same with colors, everyone has their own preference and some of that might be due to experience or based only on how it looks. The tubing size makes little difference in performance in most cases, unless the loop is very long.

Another consideration is whether you want to use colored or clear tubing. Some people use clear tubing and dyes (like Mayhem's), some people like colored tubing.
Most tubing is subject to clouding or staining due to plasticizers added when the tubing is manufactured to give the tubing flexibility. This can be especially disconcerting when after only a few months the clear tubing turns cloudy or yellowish looking. There are brands that are less susceptible to this and there are endless discussions on the internet about it. I personally don't use clear tubing so I have no suggestions.

About having to modify the block to fit? I can't help with that, that's up to you. Some cards don't use the reference pcb and that's generally what the water blocks are made to fit as the block makers can't make a block for every modified card out there. If it's only minor mods that need to be made and you can handle doing them then no problem.

As far as the cpu block, that's fine. Most cpu block's are within a degree or two of each other in efficiency.

One reservoir includes a pump, the other does not. Generally bay reservoirs are made to have a pump attached to them so you will need a pump in any case.

You seem to have narrowed in on EK exclusively for all your parts, and that's OK but you are limiting your choices. My suggestion is still to look around at some other forums where water cooling is actively discussed in much greater detail than here, there are many, many choices available and a lot of knowledge to be gained from spending some time reading in other places than here.

Your pic reminds me of Crete, where I spent a few weeks a long time ago.

Boondocks is giving you excellent advice.
How much clearance is there between the inner top of your case to the upper portion of your memory?
Keep in mind that a 240mm radiator will be 25mm thick or thicker.
Standard radiator fans will be ~25mm thick.

note: Check to see if the power supply's 8-pin EPS12V power cable will interfere with a 240mm radiator with attached fans.

    • Corsair H100 AIO cpu water cooling: radiator dimensions: (L) 275mm x (W) 122mm x (H) 27mm
