That is going to really suck if it is a cracked/chipped core

Well the processor looks fine to me, but i'm gonna have it checked at my friend's store today.. and we'll see, mine is still under warranty so it's not that bad..

I tried it on 2 different boards with the OEM cpufan and got the same result, so it must be the processor

Sorry but most of us use Volcano 7+'s or better (sorry but the 9 isn't as good) so a lot of us can't comment about the thermal sensor but under no circumstances would I power that heatsink's fan off the mobo header as it will burn the header and/or the mobo itself out and that mobo has enough issues without adding to them. Just let the mobo monitor the fan but power it straight from the PSU (it may even work then). : peace2:

Make sure the jumper on JP4 on the new mobo is on pins 2&3.

Okay, well I went to the store and the processor was the problem, it is burned, so i have to send it back cause I still have the warranty.

Also I was thinking of buying a duron in the meantime, should I? is it stable?

Thanks guys for all your inputs!

ya a volcano 9 is really a souped volcano 7 standard. The volcano 7+ is the superior of them all. How did you get ripped?
