    is there such thing as a 70mm - 80mm adapter? I've seen a 60mm - 80mm...

I've got a 7+ and a smart case fan 2, and could make my own "volcano 11" (without the snazzy pci slot dial)

    70mm to 80mm adapter? I have 2 of them ;)
OK, I found it by mistake. Bought a Globalwin FSP82 HSF because it was cheap, had a clear quiet fan, and because I THOUGHT it had a 60-80mm adapter on it that I could use on the back of my case....well, it's a 70-80mm. Matches my CAK4-88T nicely with the same adapter, but I've since chucked that idea and just cut out the back of the case and mounted twin 80mm fans. One thing....my case isn't that big, and with the 70-80mm adapter, it pushes the fan pretty far away from the actuall HS, and I don't think that gives as much airflow as a flatter 70mm fan would....I'm checking into good 70mm fans if anyone has suggestions...

man, i should've been here earlier and listened to wiggo, got a 9 in my case and noisy, not too bad though,

11 should perform well, maybe even better than that slk-800 hopefully(i can dream cant i?), high expectations from it

I e-mailed thermaltake and they said the 11 will be out "in roughly two more weeks" and will be 33.99 USD.

Did they say where it would be available? What vendors and such....I am looking to replace my Goliath (R.I.P.) tho it has servered me well. I am looking to get something a touch quieter. I can't imagine that the 11 is louder as this thing has an 8000 rpm 60mm fan on it...cools like a dream but is a touch to loud....since i cant hear the phone ring in the other room and i almost have to shout to be heard in here.....

and i have seen one of those 70-80mm adapters somewhere...just cant remember where:confused:
