looks like a cross between the V7+ and the V9 (V7+ heatsink, V9 fan)

Yes a 7+ with a SMART FAN II on top. Now that will be loud but it should cool very well. :D

Ok this has gone WAY to far.............I think what thermaltake is doing now is doing quick and suttle things to there items and releasing new lines quickly. Reason why is because they were so damn sucessful with the V7 series. That's why they released the 9. And now the 11?!!? Do you know how long it took to release the 4,5,6 series?

I mean seriously the life of the 7,9 (what happen to 8 and 10 what are they skipping numbers now?)

    I feel like a fool for buying a V9....

I was going to mention about the lack of creativity in my news post about this product on the front page.

But you got to remember the Volcano series has a good, well known name - so they are likely to continue using it for a while yet, at least until they develope the next best cooler with some other name which we will all remember.

You're right about that--I was wondering how long it would be until they came out with the next Volcano. The only reason I found the 11 is because I just bought a smart case fan 2 for the first time, installed it, was impressed (WOW it is LOUD at its best), thought about how nice it would be to put one of these fans on a 7+ heatsink, and went to the website to see the the specs on it.

Can't wait for the review on tweaktown. Hope it's not too expensive...

Think about it respawn. Even if they do make a couple of bad HSF's, the more of them they make, the better it is eventually going to make the product line. Won't be too long before we start seeing alternate cooling meathods as a main-stream for cooling our CPU's. I am sure they also figure they had better get as much money out of the HSF industry before cooling goes to bigger better things.

Has anyone found a good review of the Volcano 11 yet?
