I always found it hard to get the missus to wear the black ones (a redhead of course) as the other colours looked dreadful thru fan grills (unless stealthed of course). I believe the other material you ask for is aircon filter sheeting (I'm not sure of the proper name for it but that's what it's mainly used for, replacin' worn out aircon filters) and it comes in various grades of filterin'. ;)

You cant also get from Home Depot a green scrub stuff that works great. Its like the scrubbing stuff that is on the back of your dish sponge. Home Depot used to sell it in bundle of ten sheets for about 5 dollars, one sheet is about enough to do one entire computer....

On a side bar...why does my computer have filters on the exhaust? Lmao cant figure that one out....

I'd take them off then as any dust that wants to escape my cases is most welcome to do so.

I can't remember if I got the stuff from Home Depot or Menards, but I got filters for my air ducts (central air and heating). I got a package of 12 4" by 12" filters for about $2. They are very easy to cut. I just unscrewed the fans and then put the screws right through the filters covering the fan. Like Wiggo said, you have to clean them frequently, but it is amazing the amount of crap that doesn't get into your system.

Newegg.com sells them but on for certain size fans...

I used them and didn't like the i think cfm does get affected..even on new ones...i could be wrong...but instead i just grab compressed air and blow it through the comp.

I do that...but I get lazy, and the last time I cleaned it out...the dirt in there was nasty.

...but since getting a case with a window, I do clean it out more often.
