Thread: Another cooling idea.

    How about using some ducting and attaching it to the vent of your air conditioner and making an intake hole in your comp and set the ac to about 72.

    Ducting only a portion of the air from your A/C won't do - as the air will find it's too high resistance to go thru the duct and will instead just flow out the non-ducted part, into your room. If you channel ALL the air out of the A/C into your case, that might work. However depending on which model A/C you have, that's one MIGHTY HUGE duct! ;)

    Listen why not go and buy a 2nd hand butchers coldroom and some thermal clothin'? :D

    I'm sure that a constant -20C room temp will fix ya coolin' probs and be quiet into the bargain. :devil win

    I'd be worried about moisture in the case with this idea. When air flows through the evaporator to cool off, it picks up a little moisture, because the evaporator coils are below the dew point and get a little condensation on them. Just a thought...

    You could put a baking soad box to absord the mositure or something like that .
