found this by accident one day, have never looked back, best damn monitor software available ;) (well I think anyway heh)
as far as I can see, this has the lowest cpu usage of any
(and it even displays cpu usage) :thumb:

author says he'll be including logging and recent usage meter soonish (i emailed him ;) )

oh, and HI :) I'm a new member *grin*
Is the CPU supposed to glow like that?

Here is an Installation tip that would keep your temperatures closer together....

Before you install your heatsink, put a tiny drop of arctic silver(or whatever) on the motherboard temp prob that sits in the middle of the ZIF socket. Gently set your Processor in to the socket and then pull it out... your processor should have gotten a little bit of arctic silver on it, and if it did, add a little more arctic silver TO that underside of the processor, right on the spot that touched the sensor....

Use tiny amounts, just enought to make a good bond, and then install your processor and heatsink normally... this will help conduct heat down to the sensor, and therefore give it a more accurate reading...

that is a good tip, unless you happen to have an Epox mobo, the thermistor sits well below the cpu ( a good 2 mm)
but with the new boards comming out that support the thermistor in XP cpus, there won't be much need for any of this anymore.. of course that means upgrading just for the sake of better temp readings *sigh* then again manufacturers should have been a lot quicker using this ability grrr :

but then I have a celeron and don't have to worry at all : party ha
yea yea... don't bother the flameage :flames: suits me for what I do with it :toung:

I do have an epox mobo, and the OCZ paste I use seems to be thick enough that it can bridge the gap on its own...
