why dont you get a cheap mobo like a MSI KM4M L $60 and it has onboard everthing, including VGA. now the graffix chip is worthless for gameing, but you coud get a GForce 2 (AGP) for $30-$35.
so for $100 you could upgrade it(just get the money from your rich friend LOL):devil win

You should consider buying a whole new system. I know that I don't want to upgrade this computer, I would much rather just buy a whole new one. Can you even upgrade motherboards in HP computers? Aren't the power connectors and what not all different?

I agree. First off the case on an OEM computer isn't going to be to your liking when it comes to installing new parts. They best way is to save up and do the whole thing all together, otherwise it ends up half-assed.
