I'm having problems getting the computer to recognize the USB ports. Trying to connect a USB printer and am getting no response...... Any suggestions?

Yeah I do now... I was assuming that the tech that set the computer up to begin with knew what he was doing... you know what they say about assumption.... I should have checked that first. Instead, I turned a 5 minute job into a two hour job :o

From my experience, these techs at the computer stores are snotty kids pretending they know what they are talking about/doing.

I agree, the more "techs" that I come into contact with the more I realize that I know more than I thought I did, and I always considered myself a computer idiot. I never took computer courses in college. Everything I learned in dealing with computers I learned on my own or by talking to real computer gurus. I have a close friend that has always helped me with the majority of my computer problems. Most of those so called "techs" need to be shot on a firing squad for pretending to know something about computers.
