Well, I feel really stupid, but how do i stop the graphics card drivers from loading? I have a Radeon Mobility 7500 and I am trying to install new drivers. I was following the guide to clean uninstalling and installing Catalyst drivers and i have hit a roadblock. Whenever I restart after uninstalling my ATI drivers, it automatically loads (little icon on bottom right corner) first a standard VGA adapter, then after about 2 minutes it loades up my Mobility 7500 drivers again! Is there a way i can make it stop this, so I can install more up-to-date drivers?

look for the ati folder in your root directory (usually c:\ati\) and delete it. It contains the drivers and other setup files that installs on reboot.
I've gone too far and need to move on!

its already deleted, as well as all ATI registries.

I did, however, find a lot of ati driver stuff in
    C:\windows\system32\reinstallbackups\
    C:\windows\lastgood
    C:\windows\drivers\video

    should i delete those?

I suggest any of the driver cleaner type programs on www.guru3d.com

I use Driver Cleaner 2 for my nVidia, but you might have better luck with something else for ATI, DV2 supports ATI though, so id give it a shot. Just make sure to read the readme.
