If its softmodded then ya openin' those disable piplines which were originally closed off due to manufacturin' faults within the core so that's where ya quality probs are comin' from. Revert it back to the original state and they will disappear if ya havn't damaged it further already.

Beefy, I DO NOT see anything about Overdrive in that options menu

Yeah off course the Radeon 9600XT belongs to the 9600series
Yea but I noticed that on Windowns ME/98... it says "Radeon 9800XT Preperties" not "Radeon 9600 Series" and that maby my PC not recognizing the 9600XT and therfor not enabling the Overdrive.

I know its a neat feature and all, but Overdrive = useless. I dont see why people want a feature that is pretty much worthless. Go grab Rage and Overdrive yourself :)

tacos4me: You can already, view screenshot.

Soulburner: To his credit Terry visits several sites.

Fatguy3: It's a start, whilst I don't think ATI will ever allow you to push your card in the same as the other utilities you mentioned do, there are certain to be improvements in future driver/hardware releases. It also allows less experienced users the opportunity to get that little extra out of their card. It's great to see a major manufacturer offer this facility.

Everyone: Please stay on topic: 1. Welcome Terry to the Forums. 2: Suggestions for future ATI Catalyst driver releases.

I know thats my point, but "I" can't. I visited Sapphire site and I found some other ppl with same problem, and learned that Sapphire doesn't include heat sensors in their 9600XT. But that still doesn't explain no Overdrive. But oh well, guess I can overclock my card manually and get better performance anyway. But it just bugs my that OVerdrive won't work...:grr:
