If any of you have looked at the omega drivers web site (www.omegacorner.com) lately you would have noticed the news about the Omega Detonator drivers.

So its going to be a while now before we see some new Dets. Can anyone recommend some new tweaked dets for me and the other nVidia cards out there? Need every last FPS I can get out of this card.

I want performance tweak if you didnt figure it out.

And FYI, the ATI drivers are still in full force, no need to worry.

"Detonator" drivers are not made anymore, they are now "Forceware".

Same thing. Whats thier reason for changing it? So people will think it gives a performance boost for FX cards cuz they both start with F? Its a GeForce driver, thats all that counts.

I was about to say the same thing. The point is mute. The news statement he is mentions the latest drivers, which of course are forceware, but that doesn't really matter. The nit picking really isn't needed.

From what I understand they changed the name because the drivers were completely rewritten and not just updated. But for the intent of this thread it doesn't really matter what you call them.
I've gone too far and need to move on!

Just to give everyone a heads up. If you havent heard, it seems that Computer Games Magazine was nice enough to donate 2(yes, two) new nVidia cards to www.omegacorner.com. The 53.03 drivers are done and are currently in beta. Looking for thier release within the week I would hope.
