Or lighting effects that imitated fireworks. An LCD screen in place of a side window or in addition thereto that had a fireworks demo running on it would be RAD.

Shhh. We're giving BEEFY too many great ideas. The EVENT OF THE YEAR might occur and then what would we talk about?

You have confused me with that one FLACO. I get it. That's to throw BEEFY off the track.

Great luck with the 40.41 drivers. I think this has hurt the ATI 9700 Pro's debut which it probably was meant to do.

There are some bugs in these drivers though. For one thing if you turn on ansiostropic filtering and then turn it back off you will notice a drop in image quality. There are a few other bugs that Nvidia has admitted too, but keep in mind these are still beta drivers, and they will release official drivers with all this fixed.

I don't think these drivers have hurt the ATi 9700's sales too much. It's a good attempt to satisfy until the NV30 though.

I think I read on another web site that Gainward ordered another 10,000 chips from ATi on top of what they already ordered. I'm not positive but I think that's what the number was. The article also said that ATi had to order more silicon to make it's chips because they weren't expecting orders that big.
