    Default USB issues

I am not able to get usb devices recognized in my computer for a win 7 64 bit os. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers through device manager to no avail. This issue relates to this thread I started (http://forums.tweaktown.com/asrock/5...-crashing.html).

Booting up I've only seen a slight improvement than before. Soluto states that my boot up is about 4 minutes which is about 1 or 2 minutes faster. Running Avast in boot mode is very slow (3% for 2 hours?). I've ran registry reviver 9 times between yesterday and today. I ran little registry cleaner once today. A few days ago I also ran "slim drivers" in order to update drivers.

The machine is more stable now that the CPU fan is hooked up to cpufan2 instead of 1. I am now able to boot into safe mode since I uninstalled easeUS Backup. It seems that EUBKMON.SYS is an EaseUS driver that was causing the trouble. I did install Acronis before but I've read that it leaves behind registry entries that need to be removed. I am not aware of how to do that. I only have the usb driver issue for which I believe could be resolved if Acronis could be removed from my system. I also wish to know if old intel pentium drivers would conflict with the new intel ones.

Not to sound redundant, but to carry over from your "Z77 Extrem 4 keeps crashing" thread, it sounds as if you're due for a fresh install of Windows.

One would assume, considering you ran EaseUS ToDo Backup on the old machine it should make the process of a fresh Windows install and moving your data back to it rather painless.

What you are going through now is classic "I moved my HD to the new machine' problems. Ones you may or most like may not muck around with for day if not weeks trying to solve/cure.

OK. The only problem I see (at least I think it may be a problem) is that the backup I made is about 9 months old not up to date. Should I back up again and then reinstall that image? I've only used EaseUS that one time. Would that just bring over the same issues and bringing me back to square one?
