Yep sure does, I specially like the effects with water involved, like how things float a while before they sink etc.. :)

Sharky Extreme in an interview with Valve programmers Ken Birdwell Josh Weier:

SE - So how far done is all of Half-Life 2?

Ken - We've got all the game laid out. We've got about half of it in gameplay testing. Half-Life 2 is designed along a pipeline scheme: we build the maps, we lay out the geometry, the physics elements which are important to the gameplay and then we go thru play testing until we have a whole area of the game that's fun, that runs, that does what we want, plays how we want it. Then it will go on to the finish art team that will lay down all the textures, put the lights in, and put the detailed props in. It's a very time consuming process. To make a game this rich, and a world this natural, we want to make sure first that it's fun and then go through and make it beautiful."

anyone seen the high quality game play vids Valve has been releasing over the last couple of weeks?
    http://www.3dgamers.com/games/halflife2/#filelist
look much better than the E3 recording

anyway, just watched the 'traptown' clip (released today) and I've got to say that is is down right entertaining to watch this 3 1/2 minute clip

is there any plans to release a demo or are they going to do like HL1 and make us wait to see what it's going to really be like
...besides I want to know how well it is going to run on my hardware before I go lay down money for it

I had problems getting their main page to load, but after that is was pretty quick, but I was able to get my full download speed so the extra little wait was nothing to worry about ;)
