    Anybody know about this??
    http://www.gentoogames.com/

These are FREE games that boot from the cd and run from the cd...well they should!

I have burned those 2 images on cds but when i tell my bios to boot from the cd, it doesn't, it just boot XP.

Do i need a bios update or something?? Can it be that the system isn't compatible with GameCD technology??

One more thing, anybody know what games are coming next from Gentoo Games?

Just copying an image file won't do it. You have to have a bootable CD for the system to work with... you know, the type with the base system files on it so that it can load up some form of OS. Nero will do this.

I could be wrong, but wouldn't the Gentoo CD image have the boot sector / partition in it already? So you simply burn the image and it has the bootable info there? Not much good if people have to make their own boot CDs..

As far as I'm aware, if it's a bootable CD you won't be able to see the bootable portion of the CD just by looking at the file structure. How are you burning these CDs?

to bad they don't give an md5sum so you know your download is good.

I'm downloading one right now for the hell of it to see if it really works. I'll let you know if it works for me.

but in the meantime... you don't need to make a boot disk/image. It is an ISO file so it's all included in the image.

If you're using Nero you need to go to File -> Burn Image... , then select the .iso file and burn it to CD

alright, I tried it and it works great. It detected all my hardware and was very playable :)

so syx, I think you either got a bad download or you are not burning the images correctly
