alright, my brother bought this game, (Midnight Club II) and i thought it looked a lil lame, but gave it a shot. i got hooked on it and started the career. i got to paris and racing against stephane, everytime i go to start the race the game crashes and im back to the desktop. ne1 know y? is it a glitch or what? the same thing happens to my brother. could it be my video card drivers?

now dont laugh at my computer cuz its old and sux but i keep it going:

    compaq mobo
(the computer originally came from a store for christmas, back be4 i knew nething about comps.....tho i still dunno much :-P)
    700 mhz athlon amd cpu
    256 pc100 ram
    30 g of hard drive (2 drives)
    ati radeon 7000 video card
creative labs sound blaster 5.1 support
    windows xp home

i think thats it, ne ideas would be awesome, thanks

Here are the minimum system requirements for the game:
800 MHz Intel Pentium III or
    800 MHz AMD Athlon or
    1.2GHz Intel Celeron or
    1.2 GHz AMD Duron processor
    128 MB of RAM
4 speed CD / DVD drive
1400 MB of free hard disk space
32 MB video card with DirectX 9.0 compatible drivers
    ("GeForce2"/"Radeon 8500" or better)
    Sound Card
Now since your CPU and graphics card fall below the absolute minimum requirements then it's no surprise the game crashes at some point. I'm surprised it runs at all, but a crash to desktop indicates your system is unable to run the required code.

yea it is kinda shocking, but it seems to run perfectly and around a 35 fps rate most of the time. i guess that its always possible its that one spot where it crashes. and i do have a 64 bit radeon 7000, although its still not gr8. anything that can maybe done short of A NEW COMPUTER???? (unless sum1 has a free comp up for grabs )

    thanks later

first thing to upgrade would be your video card. That should make a big improvement... closely followed by the CPU.
