The systems are too new.....have you had any experience with emulators before? Did you notice how long it took N64 emulators to evolve? It takes years, you'll need to wait if you want to play Xbox and PS2 games on the PC...there may be betas out there but nothing desirable yet.

ROMs are illegal. Simple as that. Unless an approved game developer actually ports their games to the PC, anything you find is illegal, no matter if you delete it in 24 hours. Backup copies I believe are legal, but only on the actual console that the game was made for. So, you can't have a backup of SOCOM II or Super Smash Bros. Melee on your PC.

apparently I was a bit hasty in closeing this thread earlier, thanks to a member for pointing out the mistake.

Emulators in most cases are legal, however it is ROMs that are illegal.

Erm, made a mistake when I posted that...meant ROMs when I typed it up...

I really don't see why this was unlocked, though. No reason for it to stay open...

because there isn't a good reason to close it now [yet]. Since emulators are apparently legal there is no reason for me to leave it closed at this time.

ROMs are only illegal if you do not own your own copy of the game.

By law you are allowed one "BACKUP" copy, and in the event that you sell or give away the real copy movie you must dispose of the backup.
