    Shellshock NAM 67 announced

    Eidos today announced ShellShock: Nam '67, an upcoming action title which "depicts the true horrors of the Vietnam War for the first time in a video game." The game is being developed by Guerrilla and will be available for PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC in June 2004. Read the press release for screens & details, and check the first trailer offering a bit more than a minute of in-game footage.

    Colin McRae Rally 4 PC demo next week

    Codemasters today announced it will release a playable demo of Colin McRae Rally 4 on Tuesday, 24th February at 3PM CET. This single-player demo will put you behind the wheel of the Citroen Xsara and let you drive 3 of the 48 stages available in the full game (USA, Japan, Finland).

    Rockstar Games announces Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

    Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing division of Take-Two Interactive Software Inc, is pleased to announce Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the next iteration in the globally successful Grand Theft Auto franchise. Developed by world-class designers Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be available exclusively for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and is expected to be in stores in North America on October 19, 2004 and in Europe on October 22, 2004.

    "In the past couple of years, we have put an enormous amount of pressure on ourselves to ensure we do everything possible to exceed people's expectations with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," stated Sam Houser, President of Rockstar Games. "Even though we still have eight months to go, we are starting to become very proud of what we have achieved and we can't wait to get the game into players' hands."

    Leslie Benzies, President of Rockstar North, stated, "We are extremely humbled by the success of the Grand Theft Auto series and it has made us push ourselves further than ever to create a title in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that will hopefully redefine the Grand Theft Auto series and revolutionize open-ended gameplay and video game production values."

    Over 30 million units of the Grand Theft Auto franchise have been shipped to date, including over 11.5 million units of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and over 10.5 million units of Grand Theft Auto 3.

    Half-Life 3 rumour

    A story on Swedish site GameReactor.se brings word that designing of guidelines and ideas for a third title in the series has started.

    Valve avslöjar Half-Life 3, världsexklusivt för Gamereactor!

    Gamereactor har just kommit hem från tre dagar hos Valve i Seattle där vi kikat närmare på det kommande Half-Life 2. Vid en intervju med företagets VD Gabe Newell kom det fram att Valve redan börjat skissa upp riktlinjer och spånat idéer inför ett tredje spel i serien. Newell berättade exklusivt för Gamereactor att de vill utveckla och låta spelaren fördjupa sig ytterligare i den komplexa story som Half-Life 2 kommer att bjuda på. Den kvinnliga medhjälparen Alyx kommer med största sannolikhet att vara spelbar i det tredje spelet och mer teorier kring utomjordiskt liv kommer att finnas med. Gamereactor har som enda skandinavisk tidning spelat ett flertal banor ur Half-Life 2 och kommer att bjuda på en stor, exklusiv förhandsartikel om exakt hur lovande spelet ser ut i vårt kommande majnummer.

    Nedan ser ni bilder på Petter då han besökte Valves Seattlekontor tidigare i veckan och hur han poserar med producenten Gabe Newell. Valve var också väldigt glada över att Half-Life korats till världens bästa spel genom tiderna i det nyutgivna numret av Gamereactor.

    PainKiller gold

    DreamCatcher Games today announced that Painkiller has reached gold master status and will be arriving in stores across North America on April 12. Developed by People Can Fly, Painkiller is a first-person shooter in which players assume the role of a fatal car accident victim who finds himself trapped in a world somewhere between Heaven and Hell. Painkiller features 24 single-player levels and seven specially designed multiplayer maps. Already available, preview of the game, interview with Adrian Chmielarz and single-player demo, expect a lot more about PainKiller from us upcoming weeks, including highly awaited Multiplayer demo.

    EA TO OWN THE STREETS THIS FALL WITH NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND 2
    Sequel to Best-Selling Racing Game of 2003 Offers Massive, Free-roaming Game World

    Electronic Arts today announced the development of Need For Speed Underground 2 under the EA GAMES brand. Need for Speed Underground 2 is the sequel to Need for Speed Underground, which has sold more than five million copies worldwide since its release in November 2003.

    Need for Speed Underground 2 will challenge gamers to immerse themselves in the tuner culture, exploring an expansive, free-roaming city divided into five distinct neighborhoods. Gamers will encounter rival racers who will initiate events, tip players off to the hottest racing spots, and show them where to buy the most sought-after licensed aftermarket upgrades.

    The game will feature new game modes, deep new performance customization and tuning, and more than 30 licensed cars. The game also delivers twice the visual customization upgrades as the original game, providing a staggering 70 billion possible car combinations for total automotive self-expression.

    Need for Speed Underground 2 is currently under development by EA Canada and is scheduled for release in fall 2004 for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, Xbox video game system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCube, PC, and Game Boy Advance.
