Ummm.... no expert here and I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I don't know if you can correct the problem. After looking at your system (Sony Vaio PCG-FXA49) on several websites I see no AGP slot on your board .... guess it might be possible to add a PCI video card ... but is there room for one and can you override the onboard graphics chip?? (Prolly a question for those more knowledgable than I). The games that you are trying to play require a minimum of 64 mb of video ram whereas your system has 8! Looks like a great little unit for word processing and websurfing but not for modern day gaming.
    Antec 900 case (4 120mm and 1 200mm lighted fans + UFO flashing light set + 2 12" and 1 6" Mutant Mods meteor lights) - Aerogate ll thermal controller - Asus M2N-e SLI - AMD 64 X2 AM2 6400+ - Corsair TX650 PSU - MSI 450GTS Cyclone OC - 2 X 2GB Patriot Extreme Performance PC2 6400 RAM - SATA 320 GB Seagate HD, SATA 300GB Maxtor HD and IDE 80 GB Samsung HD - Floppy Drive/Card Reader Combo - LG SuperMulti Lightscribe 18x DVD RW - Plextor PX-716A DVD r/rw - Windows 7 Home Premium 64

Crude but Effective ... it is a way of life.

When it's a laptop, it makes things hard. :) Which is something pj112 didn't say initially.

Your video chip is the 'ATI RAGE MOBIOLITY M1 Graphics Chip with 8 MB SD RAm' part of your post. Most of those games you got will require at least 32MB of video RAM, and probably a better quality video card. The fact is, that machine isn't made for gaming, and it's not very good for it. There's not a lot you can do to help that either.

Can you tell me how to purchase the right card? I am not in the market for re-building or purchasing new since it is only 2 years old, but I want to justify the purchase of all these games that are just calling out my name to play! COuld anyone tell me what I need to do or purchase with what I have now (laptop) I really appreciate anything you can do for me!
