    Default F.E.A.R. in style....

Who has a system that can run F.E.A.R. at the highest settings (smoothly)?

If so what kind of hardware are you using?

I can run it with almost everything on highest smoothly. Soft Shadows need to be turned off on anything but really high-end systems because they drastically reduce performance. I wouldn't recommend them anyway, because they don't really look all that great.

See this for more information on my system and how it performs.

I've overclocked more since I made that thread, so let's look at how I do now:
    Settings:
    1280x960
    Computer options maxed
Video options maxed with 8xAF and no AA or Soft Shadows
    Framerates:
    Min 18
    Average 45
    Max 102
    3% < 25
    47% >25 < 40
    50% > 40

Considering this is the most performance-intensive and beautiful game out there and that I'm on a mid-range system, that's pretty good. It seems games have quite a while before they catch up to current hardware.

    BTW, specs:
    2.2GHz Barton
    768MB RAM at 200MHz 2-3-3-7
Abit NF7-S v.2 and onboard SoundStorm
    6800GT@ 425/1100

runs smoothly, but jerks now and then, must be my ram cause it uses a large page file. also, it stops when saving a checkpoint.

    1gb Corsair XMS TwinX PC3200 timings 2-3-3-6 at 400mhz
250gb Hitatchi deskstar T7K500 SATAII disk
    160gb samsung spinpoint PATA disk
