It looks great, but it's a long way away from a demo. There are just videos to watch from E3 and a few weeks prior to E3.

How far in the future? Crysis, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and anything based on Unreal 2.0 ought to run just fine at medium to high settings. Games in mid-to-late 2007 will start getting slower and slower, but you should be okay until at least 2008. Really, it depends on what you mean by "future" and what you mean by "able to run."

It looks really good and the interactive environment is what I've been waiting for. Leaving footprints in mud, mowing down forests with guns...oh yes! I just hope it's not quite as easy as the demo shows, c'mon..one or two shots is not going to down anything larger than a 3" branch/trunk even with a high powered rifle..unless of course they were using the explosive rounds.

You'll be fine in '07. Vista and DX10 will be coming out, as well as ATIs R600, NVidia's G80 "should" be out at the end of this year. It will be a good time to upgrade then as the new Intel/AMD hardware will have been out and the REAL head-to-head numbers will be known.

I don't see why not, worse case is you might have to get Vista drivers from Asus.

Game looks good. Unbelievably good really. If gameplay can keep up (i expect 30 fps, but we will see, if it runs well on 60 I will be very very very impressed) and online play works, this game will change gaming possibly on a graphical scale.
