    i have a hercules 3d prophet 4500 64mb and i have the newest drivers i used to get a like 70 fps in counter strike but now i'm getting like 40 and sometimes it gets down to like 10 and then it sucks i make sure to close all backgound apps and make sure there's nothin' sucking ram or cpu any help is wanted and needed also it seemed to happen after installing WC3 Thnx

    It is possible, the illegal version of WC3 you installed came with numerous virii, and possibly even worse parasites, like a backdoor, etc. In which case your safest bet would to do a clean install of the OS.

    chances are also that you have 4xFSAA enabled, i see this alot.

    no it was a copy off a original disk so the odds of it being buggy are not all that good

    no it isn't the4xaa it is game speced and cs doesn't use aa does it

    I hope ya mean that it was a personal backup of ya own copy. ;)

    Check ya driver settings as some drivers will install with FSAA enabled. :smokin:

    yes it was a backup and i did and it wasn't anti alliasing i checked every where to see if it was and it wasn't i don't know what it is the last fresh reinstall of win2k was like 1 month ago maybe a little more if my friend can't think of anything soon it looks to be a new install of win2k unless you munchkins can think of anyhing well thnx in advance

    agp settings in bios?

    have you tried re-installing the video drivers - base-release from hercules?

    what about uninstalling WC3?

    whats in bios and you don't realise i did the drivers and i did the base drivers but the base drivers have a prob with open gl so thy kinda suck i may just end up doing the wc3 unistall
